I have a mouthful ofulcers and how I’m not entirely grey is beyond me. I’d say I’m ‘pulling my hair out,’ but rightnow that is a contentious issue, and in my case is fortunately entirely untrue!How many times have wesaid that we wished we were in a position to take a loved one’s pain away,happy to suffer in their stead. I thinkI’ve lost count. Every time I findmyself in a position of high intensity, stressed to the hilt, I wish that Icould eradicate a pain or an ailment, so much so that I’d gladly take it onmyself. In these situations the onlything that consoles me is the knowledge that someone somewhere is suffering farworse .....
