Set in 100 acre surrounds, Raithwaite Estate which is home to two luxury hotels, a selection of traditional stone built cottages and a stunning lake house, is the most exclusive coastal retreat within North Yorkshire. Make the most of the Estate’s desirable location by exploring the North York Moors or the award winning Sandsend beach. Alternatively, you can choose to spend your time on site enjoying afternoon tea, relaxing in the spa or indulging in some of the best cuisine the region has to offer.

Yorkshire offers an exciting array of local produce which inspires our talented team of chef’s when creating delicious seasonal menus.

Brace Restaurant is a hidden gem on the Yorkshire coast offering fine dining in a relaxed environment. Brace showcases an array of fresh, local ingredients, with menus which focus on some of Whitby and the surrounding areas best produce. Paul Bellingham, Executive Chef and his team where possible use local suppliers and ingredients to enhance their seasonal a la carte menus. The kitchen brigade pride themselves on respecting every local ingredient and by doing so results in offering the most flavoursome dishes. Diners within Brace Restaurant can expect an elegant atmosphere whilst experiencing the best cuisine the Yorkshire coast has to offer.

Hunters Lounge is an informal restaurant and lounge bar located within The Keep on the Estate. Ideal for families, Hunters offers an eclectic menu of modern and classic dishes suitable for all tastes. Hunters is also a great place to relax, the lounge boasts a large glass atrium roof and a baby grand piano, epitomising the tranquillity of Raithwaite Estate.

Afternoon tea can be enjoyed all year round, and in the summer months the views of the award winning gardens from the terrace provide the perfect accompaniment to the homemade cakes, pastries and freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream on offer. Even as the leaves turn and the days become cooler, the amazing views of the Estate can still be enjoyed when you choose to sit within our conservatory. Take your pick between traditional afternoon tea, Laurent-Perrier champagne afternoon tea or gentleman’s afternoon tea for those wishing a more savoury based experience, which, can be accompanied by excellent sipping partners, gin and tea!

Sunday’s without a traditional roast dinner in Yorkshire are unheard of. Brace Restaurant creates a special atmosphere to enjoy fine food with family and friends every Sunday. The seasonal menus entice diners by including all of Yorkshire’s traditional favourites with enhanced contemporary twists.

Whether it is a special occasion, a business lunch, birthday party or anniversary celebration, the team at Raithwaite can provide you with the perfect menu within the perfect setting. Choose to celebrate in either our Vinotec or Headlam Suite where exciting menus with wine pairing for up to 20 guests are available.
