Meet a leading wildlife artist and an expert on diamonds at an exclusive Yorkshire Life reader event
Its a rare treat these days to be able to take time to meet new people and enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by some of the most wonderful countryside in the county.
But we would like to invite you to do just that on Wednesday, October 3rd at an exclusive Yorkshire Life reader event hosted by Raisethorpe Manor at its shooting lodge on the Raisethorpe 1,000-acre estate at Thixendale, near Malton.
Its on the estate that their range of award-winning gins and liqueurs are created using the finest fruits and ingredients. The range includes Sloe Gin, Sloe Sherry, Strawberry Vodka Liqueur and Orange Vodka Liqueur to name just a few. Raisthorpe Manor jams and preserves are also made here.
Joining us on the day are two special guest speakers Robert Fuller, one of Britains foremost wildlife artists who will talk about his work and Clare Lenton-Cliffe representing Berrys, Leeds, one of Yorkshires leading jewellers.
Roberts paintings sell all over the world and his trademark, highly-detailed images, have been adopted by the RSPB and the National Trust. He has exhibited in wildlife galleries across Europe and up to 7,000 people visit his own gallery in North Yorkshire each year.
Clare, accompanied by her minder, will bring a selection of diamonds as part of a talk she will give about jewellery. Berrys was founded in 1897 by Abe Berens and is one of the few remaining family-owned jewellery businesses.
It is known for its customer service and quality of its diamonds.
Readers will be greeted on arrival with tea, coffee and biscuits. Theres a pre-lunch drink and a chance to mingle and make new friends after hearing our guest speakers and before a simple two-course seasonal lunch using Raisthorpe products where possible, plus a glass of wine.
Coverage of the event will appear in our December issue and on our website yorkshire.greatbritishlife.co.uk.
