More than 800 guests helped to raise over £270,000 for Barnardo’s children’s charities at the annual Firecracker Ball at Rudding Park, Harrogate.

Television personality and actor Christopher Biggins joined the night via video link and thanked the people of Yorkshire for their continuing support. All funds raised on the night are donated to Barnardo’s in Yorkshire, which each year helps almost 14,000 children, young people and their families in over 80 specialised projects in local communities. Since the first Firecracker Ball for Barnardo’s in 2002, the event has raised over £2.5million.
