Here it is, our eagerly awaited shortlist of those who have impressed us the most this time

The 2016 Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards will be association with a range of diverse companies and organisations. The 2016 Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards will be association with a range of diverse companies and organisations.

Our food and drink awards celebrations take on special meaning this year as Yorkshire Life marks its 70th anniversary. Few magazines can say they have been serving their readers for such a long time and I am always grateful for your unstinting loyalty. In return I hope we can inform, entertain and inspire with events such as our food and drink awards.

The judges, experts in their own areas of food, drink and hospitality and with a passion for entertaining as I’ve ever known, have had as always, a difficult time reaching their decisions. But after months of deliberations and the search for top quality they have found contenders worthy of recognition for their talent, innovation and commitment to their customers.

We’d like to thank too, those of you who have taken the time to nominate your favourite places to eat, drink and stay during your leisure time.

Preparations are being made for our celebration lunch at the award-winning hotel Rudding Park in Harrogate, North Yorkshire on September 26th when we will announce the winners of the Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2016.

Once again Rudding’s development chef Matthew Wilkinson and his team are finalising the celebratory menu created especially for our guests. And of course there will be full colour coverage in the November issue of Yorkshire Life as well as online including our website yorkshirelife.co.uk.

Here is the Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2016 shortlist of contenders (there is no shortlist for Chef of the Year or Food Hero of the Year. These winners will be announced at our awards lunch).
