We are all foodies in Yorkshire, and it's no surprise our diverse variety of food festivals are some of the most well attended in the country. Here are some of the best taking place in 2018.

23rd - 25th February

Festival of Food, Drink & Rhubarb

A festival of West Yorkshire’s favourite pink vegetable plus all manner of other delicious local delicacies (including custard presumably).



29th March - 2nd April

York Chocolate Festival

York is the city of chocolate and this three day festival is sure to delight the sweet-toothed among you.



4th-7th May

Delicious Doncaster 2018

Spanning across four days of the May Bank Holiday weekend, from Friday 4th to Monday 7th May, the festival will feature entertainment, activities, hot street food and some exciting names from the culinary world.

26th - 27th May

Malton Food Lovers Festival

Malton is Yorkshire’s self styled capital of food for a number of reasons; the Talbot Hotel, the monthly food market and the annual Food Lover’s Festival which takes place every late May Bank Holiday.

It is now regarded as one of the premier food festivals in the country with a host of celebrity chefs and experts attending each year.



26th - 28th May

Great British Food Festival – Harewood House

There will be a big serving of stunning hot food, plus real ale and wine bars, kids cookery lessons, top chef demos, stir in a cake competition and excellent live music to make a lovely foodie family day out at Harewood House, near Leeds.



16th - 17th June

Dales Festival of Food & Drink 

The Leyburn event celebrates the very best of locally produced food and drink and attracts crowds from around the region. Entry is free and the Sunday is also is Father's Day, so you could bring your dad for a great day out in Leyburn.



16th - 17th June

The Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival

Leed Town Hall becomea Mecca for vegans over the weekend with 130 stalls each day, 15 world food caterers, all day live inspirational cookery demos, informative talks and workshops, yoga classes, live entertainment and music.



TBA June/July

Halifax Food Festival

A free foodie event over two days spills over into a number of streets around Halifax — Southgate, Cornmarket, Russell Street and the Woolshops — with a demo kitchen, local chefs, regional food producers and market stalls. 



8th July

Pontefract Liquorice Festival

Liquorice lovers can enjoy a range of liquorice food and drink while browsing the food, craft and gift stalls at the colourful street market.



6th - 8th July

Wetherby Food Festival

The Wetherby Food Festival is now in its fourth year and includes an eclectic range of over 50 producer stalls and street food vendors. There's also plenty of entertainment for the children as well as live music and food challenges.



21st - 22nd July

The Yorkshire Dales Food And Drink Festival

This festival based in Funkirk Farm near Skipton is jam-packed with things to do including local chef and crafting demonstrations, a selection of hands on workshops, a vintage fun fair, kid’s activities, tasting sessions, live music, hundreds of exhibitors and street food.



TBA August

Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival

It’s estimated the event now attracts over 100,000 visitors to St Georges Square over the four day weekend in early August.

Launched in 2000, the event celebrates Huddersfield businesses & local producers, with over 90 stalls, more than 30 cookery demonstrations and a jam-packed programme of children’s workshops and entertainment. 



8th - 9th September 

Malton Harvest Food Festival

Malton Harvest Food Festival is a celebration of Yorkshire’s finest produce and cooking with an emphasis on autumn and late summer produce. Expect a harvest of game, seafood, wild and foraged food, soft fruit, baking galore, vegetarian and vegan food and the very best street food! ​

Set across Malton's Market Place you can expect a top day of chef demos, 100 stalls, family entertainment, live music, talks, tastings and much more. 9am – 5pm. Free Entry



TBA September

Cottingham Food and Drink Festival

The Festival will include cooking demonstrations, after which the chefs will be competing in a challenge to cook up the best dish using lobsters caught on our very own East Yorkshire coastline. You will also be able to visit a large number of stalls from around Yorkshire selling local produce. Stalls will be situated in the Market Green, King Street and Hallgate. 



21st September to 30th September

York Food Festival

The York Food Festival takes over the city centre for around 10 days every September.

The taste trail, which runs in conjunction with festival, alowws you to visit many of York’s independent food retailers and joy free taster and discounts.



24-25 September

Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival

Launched in 2005, the Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival attracts more than 40,000 visitors to the town. In all, 50 stalls are packed in throughout the town to bring residents and visitors alike a culinary mix that keeps bringing people back year after year.
