Meet celebrity chef Raymond Blanc at Yorkshire Life lunch to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Yorkshire.

We began the year with a pledge to support Pedal for Yorkshire which aims to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Join us at one of our exciting events to help the cause.

You are invited to join Pedal for Yorkshire and Yorkshire Life at a very special lunch hosted by celebrated chef Raymond Blanc OBE to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Yorkshire.

This exclusive event at Brasserie Blanc in Leeds, which takes place on Monday April 26th beginning at noon, is limited to 90 places and is a rare opportunity to meet one of the UKs most popular chefs in the relaxed setting of his own restaurant. The event promises to be great fun with Raymond sharing a few stories from his distinguished career and possibly few tales from his new TV show Raymond Blanc Kitchen Secrets. ITV Yorkshire presenter and Pedal for Yorkshire committee member, Gaynor Barnes, will compere for the lunch.

Raymond Blanc is self-taught and yet he is one of the countrys most respected chefs. He was born in Besancon, the capital of the Franche Comt region in eastern France, between Burgundy and the Jura mountains. Raymond was inspired by the local produce and most of all by his mother, the formidable Maman Blanc. He opened his first restaurant in 1977 and the internationally famous Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons in 1984 which has achieved two Michelin stars over 19 years.

Raymond was a former junior nurse on a leukemia ward in his hometown before becoming a chef and joined Pedal for Yorkshire as patron at the beginning of the year.

The lunch will be held in his award-winning Brasserie Blanc which opened in Leeds in 2007 and has quickly made its mark on the citys restaurant scene. An added bonus for guests is that Brasserie Blanc is just a short walk from Leeds railway station and there is plenty of parking nearby.

Raymond said:
I am looking forward to meeting everyone at my Pedal for Yorkshire lunch in April and am delighted to be patron of the initiative. I love spending time in Yorkshire and know we will have lots of fun while raising money for a wonderful cause too. A bientot.

The lunch starts at noon with a glass of Champagne on arrival, followed by a three course lunch, with a glass of wine and coffee.

Tickets for this exclusive lunch are priced at 45 each. To book, please telephone Brasserie Blanc on 0113 220 6060 and quote Yorkshire Life lunch. Please note that payment is required at time of booking and tickets are not refundable. We are anticipating that demand for this reader lunch will be high, therefore tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire – and flavour.
