The search has begun to discover the finest talent and the most exciting ideas in the food and hospitality industries

Preparations are underway for this years Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2011-2012 which take place on Monday, September 19th at Aspire in the centre of Leeds.

The awards are among the most comprehensive in the county with judging led by our food and drink consultant Annie Stirk who, together with her team of experts in food and hospitality, will draw up a shortlist of potential winners in 12 categories including, for the first time, Yorkshire Life Farmers Market Award of the Year. More about the categories and the job judges have next month.

We have chosen to return to Aspire for our gala awards evening because we enjoyed last years celebrations so much and we are looking forward to working with them again.

Venetia Heaney from Aspire said they looked forward to once again showcasing Yorkshires finest culinary talent and local produce. We are honoured to open our doors to Yorkshires elite for an evening celebration recognising great food, wine and outstanding achievement across the industry. Aspire is passionate about treating all guests to exquisite locally sourced cuisine served to the highest standards. The food must be the focus and key talking point of any event; the awards are a unique opportunity to excel so watch this space.

Aspire is a Grade II listed building and former bank restored as a versatile venue for weddings, banquets, conferences, seminars and drinks receptions as well as private dinner parties.
