It is that time of year again when we prepare for one of the biggest highlights of the awards season, the Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards. Our team of expert judges led by Annie Stirk, our food and drink consultant, is already in deep discussion preparing first a long list and then a short list before deciding who will win some of the most coveted awards for food and hospitality excellence in the region.

The Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards will be celebrated at a lunch hosted by the White Hart Hotel, Harrogate on Monday, September 17th. We remain mindful of the difficult economic challenges we all face and the support for the talent and innovation that help to make Yorkshire a serious food and drink destination is more important than every before.

Sponsors continue to give that support. Jo Theakston, marketing director for the Black Sheep Brewery, said: Were really pleased to be sponsoring the Traditional Pub of the Year category in the 2012 Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards. This year is a landmark year for Black Sheep Brewery as we celebrate our 20th anniversary and as champions of everything Yorkshire and of course traditional cask ale, we couldnt think of a better award to be associated with.
