Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2010 -2011

Our gala awards eveing is just days away and here's the shortlist

The judges have completed their work. They have selected the shortlist for the annual Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2010-2011 taking place on September 20th at Aspire, Leeds.

This is our opportunity to celebrate all that is excellent and innovative in the food and drink industry and to say thank you to local food producers whose wonderful work has helped put Yorkshire on the culinary map.

Special thanks go to Annie Stirk, our food and drink consultant and chair of judges and her team of judges who have spent many hours visiting and tasting around the county to find the very best and unique in the hospitality industry.

Its been an amazing few months of visiting and tasting, said Annie. Just as exhilarating were the long discussions we had as judges. There has been a real feeling of excitement and admiration for the talent we have seen. We need to tell people about the excellent work that is going on in Yorkshire.

Thank you too, to the sponsors who have helped to make the event possible.

We are looking forward to welcoming our special guest Bob Cotton, who has just stepped down after 10 years as chief executive of the British Hospitality Association.

The black-tie gala awards evening promises to be one of the best yet and there is full coverage in our November issue as well as on our website.
