The Junior School is housed in its own building and grounds. 350 Years ago Charles II granted a charter for a free Grammar School in Bradford. What will the next 350 years hold? In education it can be difficult to predict but it is certain that there is massive change happening. The digital revolution will be just as profound as the Industrial Revolution. Knowledge is instantly available; discrimination in judging that knowledge is less easily obtained.

A group of BGS students met with David Hockney (Old Bradfordian). David considered the iPad as a tool; like other great artists before him he has seized on how new technology can be utilised to create wonderful pictures. His embrace of the new is inspirational.

At BGS talent of all kinds is discovered and developed. BGSs commitment to its foundation as a free Grammar School is encapsulated by its bursary scheme which enables talented boys and girls irrespective of background aim to be the best they can be.
