Yorkshire in Bloom competitors celebrated their success at an awards ceremony at York Racecourse.

Grassington won the class for medium sized villages but was pipped to the post by Pateley Bridge and Team Green Moor, Barnsley for the title of Best Overall Village. Team Green Moor was also declared Best New Entry 2018 and shared the honours with Original Richmond in Bloom. Friends of Filey Parks wowed the judges in the class for Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries and finished with top marks, a platinum award and the title of Best Overall Public Park for their work in Glen and Crescent Gardens. Oxspring School, Barnsley came top of the class for Young People in a category sponsored by The North of England Horticultural Society. For more winners, go to yorkshireinbloom.co.uk.
