Join some of the world’s elite riders at the Bramham International Horse Trials
One of Europe's leading equestrian events regularly attracts around 60,000 people to Bramham Park near Wetherby and final preparations are now underway for this year's Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials.
Some the best riders from across the globe will take part in four days of top-flight equestrian action from June 6th-9th and there will also be family entertainment, shopping opportunities and food and drink in the grounds of one of Yorkshire's favourite houses, Bramham, home to the Lane Fox family.
The show's main feature is the world class eventing competitions, the ultimate test of horse and rider. The Equi-Trek CCI4*-L, the British Horse Feeds U25 CCI4*-L and the Land Rover CCI4*-S will host around 150 of the world's elite riders all bidding to win one of the titles on offer.
Saturday is the spectator's favourite when the action heads into the park for cross country action over courses designed by former Olympian, Ian Stark.
British team stars feature regularly, including local star Nicola Wilson, Huddersfield born Oliver Townend and 'Mr Bramham' William Fox-Pitt who has stood atop the podium a staggering seven times.
Add to this British Showjumping classes including new opportunities for para riders, hunters, Dubarry Young Event Horse Qualifiers, young stock classes, Pony Club activities and a new exciting Saracen Horse Feeds Arena Eventing competition for talented amateurs, it's going to be an equine extravaganza.
The trade stand village features over 135 outlets where there's something for everyone, plus you can support the event's nominated 2019 charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind. Not to be missed is the Yorkshire food hall plus there's plenty of outlets for food and drink - or why not pack your own, choose a spot and enjoy a picnic. And you can kick-start your weekend early on Friday June 8 with late night shopping and free entry after 4pm.
Ticket prices start at £12 and under 12s go free with a paying adult. There are great discounts for early bookings - but hurry, online bookings close on June 2. Treat yourself to a bit of extra luxury with a Members' ticket in the ring side enclosure or be a part of the event at close quarters with a camping pass.
