Inspiring young people were recognised at the 27th Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards at Leeds United’s Centenary Pavilion.

Undefeated Leeds boxer Josh Warrington was named Personality of the Year while Youngster of the Year was ten-year-old Archie Boyne, making his own mark in the ring with three gold medals. Other winners were: Achievement in the Arts: Daisy Watt of Doncaster; Achievement in Management and Enterprise Katie Mountain: of Adel, Leeds; Achievement in Sport: Courtney Hill of Leeds Rhinos Women; Achievement in Education: Taylor Hogan of Leeds; Unsung Hero: Lauren Doherty of Knaresborough; Special Award: Simon Nabarro of Leeds. Awards are sponsored by McCormicks Solicitors. The Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation has now raised more than £1.3m to support young people.
