Canadian superstar Bryan Adams to perform at Emirates Riverside on Friday 12 August

Legendary multi-platinum recording artist Bryan Adams is to perform at Durham County Cricket Club,

As one of the world’s most highly acclaimed musicians, Bryan Adams has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide and ‘Get Up’ is his thirteenth studio album. Bryan rose to fame in North America with his 1983 album ‘Cuts Like a Knife’ and turned into a global star with his 1984 album ‘Reckless’ which produced some of his best known songs including “Run to You” and “Summer of ‘69”.

Bryan Adams said “The ‘Get Up’ Tour is shaping up to be a fantastic summer for me with dates UK wide. We have seen such a great response from fans all over the UK that we wanted to reach as many places as possible, which is why I am delighted to now announce the Durham concert. We’ll be rocking the stage with songs from the new album, which I think are some of my finest yet, and of course there’ll be some of the old favourites, too.”

Bringing Bryan Adams to the ground on Friday 12 August fits that perfectly. He is a huge star who gives a brilliant performance and we are certain he will be a big hit here this summer.”

Emirates Riverside, home of Durham County Cricket Club has hosted a number of concerts over recent years, including Elton John, Tom Jones, Jessie J, Boyzone, Madness and this year Simply Red in June. It has also just hosted the second Spring Investec Test between England and Sri Lanka.

The ‘Get Up’ Tour will include a performance at Emirates Riverside on Friday 12 August.
