A ball at the Gleddings Preparatory School in Halifax, raised more than £15,000 for the Calderdale Food Bank and human slavery charity Hope for Justice.

The event was attended by over 200 of Halifax’s business leaders, school families and friends, who enjoyed a meal and live entertainment by the Emmerdale cast band, Mainstreet.

Headteacher Jill Wilson said: ‘I was delighted that the event raised so much money. The ball was a tremendous success and everyone had a wonderful time.’
