Guests celebrated Yorkshires buoyant tourism industry at its annual White Rose Awards held at Leeds United Football Club Centenary Pavilion, Leeds.

About 1,000 people were at the event including Olympic gold medal winners Nicola Adams, Andy Triggs Hodge and Hannah Cockroft. The awards, run by official tourism agency Welcome to Yorkshire, recognise and celebrate the best of Yorkshire tourism.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: These awards are good for business because they help raise the bar and promote them to a wider audience. And its not just our worthy winners that benefit, as even making the shortlist shows the high standards those businesses have attained.
