Fashion designer to the stars Maria Grachvogel helped the Princes Trust raise nearly 50,000 at a fashion with dinner event at Rudding Park, Harrogate. Miss Grachvogel, whose clients include Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, and Victoria Beckham, chose the event to unveil some of her latest collection.
BBC Radio Leeds presenter Liz Green hosted the event which included a champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner with fashion previews between courses, topped off with an exclusive money cant buy auction.
Other iconic fashion brands showing their latest designs included corsetieres to the Queen, Rigby and Peller, who specialise in designing luxury lingerie and swimwear. They appeared alongside suit designers, Alex of Savile Row and one of the UKs leading independent jewellers, Berrys Jewellers.
Event sponsor JCT600 Bentley also unveiled their new flagship model, the Bentley Mulsanne. Other main sponsors for the night were chartered accountants Grant Thornton and the bankers Coutts.
Richard Jackson, chair of the Princes Trust development committee in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: All the money raised will ensure we can continue to help some of the regions most disadvantaged youngsters and make a real difference to their lives.
