Scarborough Art Gallery became a 'pop up' restaurant for the Scarborough Museums Trust annual dinner.

Scarborough Art Gallery becamea pop up restaurant for the Scarborough Museums Trust annual dinner. It was the first time in over 70 years, that the venue opened its doors to dinner guests with the downstairs galleries being converted into a one time only restaurant venue.

The event began with canaps and drinks and a sneak preview of the gallerys latest exhibition, Fears, Foes & Faeries, which runs to the end of September. Dinner was followed by an auction.

Scarborough Museums Trust chief executive Shirley Collier said: The annual dinner has become quite a highlight of the Scarborough social calendar. Last years raised over 5,000 which contributed to essential work with young people; we hope to raise even more this year for the same cause. The support of our sponsors is really important. We are delighted to be working with Beiderbeckes again for this event.
